About — Performance Optimisation Lab

We find what most training never looks for.

Based in Hackney, London, we work with clients worldwide to uncover the movement imbalances that leak performance and quietly contribute to injuries.

The lab

We combine advanced diagnostic technology with over a decade of hands-on experience to find the individual patterns, compensations and root causes that decide whether training builds you up — or quietly breaks you down.

Our mission

Fitness should build you up, not wear you down.

Our mission is simple: address the root causes without the guesswork. Using objective biomechanical and metabolic analysis, we find what generic programmes miss and build something that actually fits how your body works.

So you can train consistently, perform better, and stop losing ground to injuries.

Our approach

Behind every recurring injury, there's a pattern

Behind every performance plateau and every case of fatigue that doesn't make sense, there's a pattern — usually spanning movement, the nervous system and metabolism, that nobody has connected yet. We work to find that pattern, beyond the parts that hurt.

01

Read the whole system

We map how each component of your system interacts, not just the area that hurts.

02

Identify where it breaks

We pinpoint where things break down — the compensations, restrictions and leaks driving the symptom.

03

Rebuild the picture

We rebuild a programme that addresses the whole picture, then track results in real numbers over time.

Progress you can quantify — beyond race time and weight on the bar.

Virgis Silinskas

Virgis is a movement specialist and performance coach with over a decade of experience helping people train smarter and achieve long-lasting results. He co-founded an innovative coaching and analysis facility in London that helped hundreds optimise their training through advanced assessment.

His own path began with a serious ski accident as a teenager — a fractured thoracic spine and a traumatic brain injury — and later a herniated back mid-squat as a young lifter. Recovery taught him about the aspects of fitness few people pay attention to: the nervous system, posture and recovery.

With a background spanning functional neurology, manual therapy, nutrition and holistic coaching, Virgis looks at the body as a whole before focusing on the details — so underlying imbalances are identified, not just symptoms treated. Today he leads the lab as a place where everyday athletes can access elite-level insight.

Anisa Kakija

Anisa is a data-oriented functional nutritionist with a Master's in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King's College London. Her own journey began as a competitive dancer navigating body image and disordered eating — drawing her toward biochemistry, appetite regulation and neurotransmitters rather than calories.

Her work now focuses on optimal health and longevity, integrating blood work, hormone tests, metabolic analysis, body composition, stool tests and posture mapping. Like the lab's philosophy, she finds the patterns beneath the surface and builds protocols truly aligned with each client's biology.

With her psychology background, she works with the internal world too — helping clients rewire their mindset, harness neuroplasticity and reconnect with their bodies. To her, nutrition also involves beliefs, behaviours and the stories people carry.
